Kevin Robinson brings his long term legal, governance, and volunteer service expertise to For The People from both private and public sectors.
Most recently, Kevin was selected as a 2022 Harvard Fellow in its Advanced Leadership Initiative, in which Fellows embark on a year-long immersion in interdisciplinary academic learning, leadership development, and peer-to-peer collaboration to develop a social impact strategy focused on their issue of choice.
Professionally, Kevin recently served as Senior Managing Director and General Counsel of Guggenheim Investments, the asset management division of Guggenheim Partners, a global investment firm with more than $250 billion in total assets under management. While at Guggenheim, Kevin served on several governance and strategic committees, including its Executive Management Committee, Social Justice Leadership Advisory Council, and its Environmental, Social and Governance Investment Initiative. Kevin founded and chaired Guggenheim’s Law and Regulatory Compliance Pro Bono Program, and was the Guggenheim Partners 2019 Diversity and Inclusion Award Recipient.
In addition to the above, Kevin served in the public legal sector, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. He currently serves on several regional community organizations, including the Chicago Bar Foundation in which he is a member of its Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee; the Oak Park - River Forest Community Foundation in which he chairs its Finance Committee; the USA Midwest Jesuit Society Committee on Racial Reconciliation; and as a Program Committee member of Economic Mobility Pathway, a global direct service organization that addresses family poverty.
Kevin enjoys hiking, kayaking and biking. He and his family are longtime residents of Oak Park, Illinois.
