Sarah Hawkins
Chief Of Staff, San Francisco Department of Police Accountability
Sarah now serves as the Chief of Staff at the San Francisco Department of Police Accountability, where she oversees four teams responsible for investigating civilian complaints against San Francisco police officers, prosecuting police disciplinary matters, and making policy recommendations regarding police practices to the San Francisco Police Department and San Francisco Police Commission.
Previously, Sarah worked as an Assistant District Attorney at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of California, specializing in organized crime and homicide prosecution. Sarah Hawkins holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of San Francisco, as well as a J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law.
Sarah teaches trial advocacy at UC Hastings College of the Law, and lives in the Bay Area with her family.
