Klarc Abrams
California ChangeLawyers Legal Fellow
Klarc Abrams is the California ChangeLawyers Legal Fellow at For The People. In her role, she assists the legal team by drafting motions, briefs, and case presentations which are presented to prosecutor offices. Additionally, Klarc coordinates with community-based organizations, incarcerated people, and their support networks. Klarc graduated from San Diego State University where she majored in Criminal Justice and externed at a legal aid clinic in South San Diego which sparked a desire to pursue a career in civil rights law. After undergrad, Klarc attended the University of San Francisco School of Law where she graduated with her Juris Doctorate degree with a certificate in Public Interest Law.
Prior to For The People, Klarc Abrams externed at the Contra Costa and Alameda County District Attorney’s Offices where she drafted motions, prepared witnesses for trial, and conducted in-person hearings. During her final year of law school, she had an opportunity to extern at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office in their Labor Department where she drafted research memos to provide advice to various teams, and participated in class action settlement conferences.
In her free time, Klarc enjoys playing the piano, traveling, and enjoying amazing restaurants. As a Bay Area native, Klarc is looking forward to working with For The People to restore communities and reunite families through Prosecutor-Initiated Resentencing.
